If you're thinking of migrating to the United States be sure to consider the state of New Jersey as an option. That is, if you've lived in Metro Manila all your life and you don't want to feel homesick. It seems like New Jersey has a reputation for corruption (well?), traffic (hehehe getting to sound familiar?) and hold on to your seats -- toxic waste (doesn't that sound like Manila's air?!). They're having a slogan contest to drum up some promotion for their state. Of course, the slogan "New Jersey: We Can Always Use Another Relative On The Payroll" didn't make it. But if they don't use it can we ask for permission and use it for the Philippines? HEHEHE

Bette Midler follows the ongoing "revivalism" of the sophisticated era of American music from the 30s to the 50s dubbed as the "Great American Songbook". Over the years, various performers and artists have rendered the songs of that era from Ella Fitzgerald to the more recent artists such as Rod Stewart. Midler's performance is a welcome addition to the fine roster of singers. Powerful and playful marks the voice of Bette Midler and the song that most captured her vocal prowess is "Mambo Italiano". Bette Midler's recording is an American classic in its own right.
Whew! Two projects just ended and at least I can take a breather to write an entry. Just wrapping things up at both ends and I can finally take a vacation! Looking forward to going home to Baguio and take in the fresh air. =)
